Principles

General Principles

  • We adopt and believe in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
  • We adopt these five pillars from the Humanist Manifesto III, we affirm the following:

  1. Knowledge of the world is derived by observation, experimentation & rational analysis.
  2. Ethical values are derived from human needs and interests as tested by experience.
  3. Life’s fulfillment emerges from individual participation in the service of humane ideals.
  4. Working to benefit society maximizes individual happiness.
  5. Humans are social by nature and find meaning in relationships.

Politics & Religion

We are not a political organization, nor do we have an aspiration to be one. We advocate for the strict separation of church/religion, faith and state, and resist any attempt to be blend religious and political authority. We believe that religion should not shape public policy or have wide range affect on changing societies we live in. We believe that religious political agendas should not shape society or public policy. We are against the use of any religion to promote or exert any violence, any killing, subjugation of women, persecution of other faiths, any punishment for contempt or policy to prevent or control free speech and freedom of expression.

Rationality, Freedom of Speech & Science

We believe in freedom of speech and the right of any individual to criticize, discuss, or comment on any philosophical, religious, political, or other ideas. Religions and ideologies do not have the right to be protected from criticism. We promote a culture of reason and evidence-based decision-making and encourage people to think critically about their values, ideas and beliefs and the world around them. We prioritize education, science, and critical thinking as means to promote social progress and counter misinformation and propaganda.
